Botniarosk's photo competition is arranged annually with a new theme for each year and the competition time for the 2025 wall calendar is between 1.1. – 15.9.2024.
Among all submissions received, 12 photographs are selected to illustrate the calendar months in our traditional wall calendar that is distributed to all Botniarosk customers. Selected photographs are rewarded with a fee of €50.
In addition, a vote will be organized on Botniarosk's Facebook page and Instagram profile on which photograph will adorn the cover of the calendar. The winner of this poll will be awarded a fee of €100. An additional fee of €100 will be drawn among all participants in the vote.
In an increasingly hectic and electronics-filled world, we want to highlight the importance of nature for a good well-being with this year's photo competition and thus decorate the 2025 calendar with images that inspire socialising in our immediate environment!
For example, have you planned a picnic at Kristiinankaupunki's Canion bay, perhaps an excursion to Lauhavuori National Park in Isojoki, a hike around Katikankanjoni in Kauhajoki or a mushroom picking trip to the nearby forest?
Photograph your outing and give others the opportunity to be inspired by letting the pictures illustrate our wall calendar!
- The photographs must be taken outdoors within Oy Botniarosk Ab's area of operation: the municipalities of Karijoki, Kaskinen, Kauhajoki, Kristiinankaupunki, Isojoki and/or Teuva.
- We would like people to appear in the photographs, but faces do not need to be seen and the number of people is not limited; it can be anything from one person to a larger group.
- The photographs should be taken in landscape format and have a high resolution to ensure a qualitative final product.
- Each participating individual may submit a maximum of three entries.
- The photographs must be in digital jpeg format.
- Name the files with the month they were taken and your own name.
- The photographs are sent to info@botniarosk.fi. Mark the email with "Photo competition 2025".
- Entries received before the competition time or after it has ended will not be taken into account.
- The photographs must be taken within Oy Botniarosk Ab's area of operation. The operating area includes Isojoki, Karijoki, Kaskinen, Kauhajoki, Kristiinankaupunki, Närpiö and Teuva.
- Each participant can compete with a maximum of three photographs. The photographs must not have been previously published, and the entrant must have full copyright to all of them.
- In the wall calendar, a total of 13 photographs will be published, and for each published photograph a fee of 50 euros is paid, apart from the cover photo, for which a fee of 100 euros is paid. A vote will be held on Instagram and Facebook about which photo will adorn the calendar cover.
- The photographers' names are mentioned in the wall calendar in connection with the published photographs. By participating in the competition, the photographer gives his or her consent to his or her personal data being processed in the execution of the photo competition.
- Oy Botniarosk Ab has the right to handle the photographs in the way that the presentation and expression context requires and to crop the images according to the format used.
- Oy Botniarosk Ab keeps the winning photos. The winners grant Oy Botniarosk Ab the right to use the photos they have submitted, and which are published in the wall calendar, as well as to use the photographer's name in their communications in the future without separate compensation.
- Send the competition contributions no later than 15.9.2024 by e-mail to: info@botniarosk.fi. The e-mail must contain information about where and when the photograph was taken, the photographer's name and all contact details.
- The participant must name his photographs with his own name. Check that your email program is not compressing the file.
- The images are sent in jpeg (jpg) format, and for printing technical reasons they must be digital, in landscape format and photographed with high resolution and quality.
