The recycling stations are open 1-5 days a week and with staff on site to help you with the sorting of your waste.
Both households and businesses can deposit their waste at the recycling stations. A payment card is required for the payment of the fee-based waste.
Asbestos is a long-fibrous material that is harmful to health. It can be found, for example, in insulation around old heating pipes and ventilation ducts, in floor mats and ceiling tiles, old roofing felt and facade material. You can leave a maximum of 30 liters of well-packaged asbestos at the recycling station. Larger quantities are delivered to the waste center in Teuva.
You can return alkaline batteries and batteries for small appliances free of charge to a battery collection box in a shop that sells batteries or bring them free of charge to a recycling station. Tape the battery terminals to prevent short circuits, return leaking batteries in a plastic bag.
Concrete blocks, toilet seats, sinks, porcelain dishes and tiles, roof tiles, bricks and clinker. You can leave a maximum of 1m3 of concrete and brick at the recycling station at a time and the pieces must be of such a size that they can be carried to the container on site. Larger quantities and blocks that must be tipped are delivered to the waste center in Teuva.
Cardboard collection includes cardboard boxes, brown paper bags and corrugated cardboard. Cardboard recycling does not include wet or dirty cardboard, plastic or liquid packaging. Wet and dirty cardboard is combustible waste. Cardboard is accepted up to 1 m³ at a time.
Bulky combustible waste can be taken to recycling stations. In practice, this means combustible items that are not suitable for recycling and do not fit in your own combustible waste bin, such as carpets, skis, plastic chairs and tarpaulins. You can take a maximum of 3 cubic metres of combustible waste to the recycling station at any one time. Larger loads are delivered to the waste centre in Teuva.
All electric and battery-powered appliances such as refrigerators and freezers, coffee makers, remote-controlled toys, clocks, televisions and food processors. We accept a maximum of three identical appliances at a time, for example three identical TVs.
Window glass, mirrors and glass containers (drinking glasses, vases, glass plates), maximum 500 litres at a time.
Garden waste can be taken to the recycling stations, except in Teuva, where it is taken to the waste centre. Garden waste includes leaves, grass, garden clippings, chipped brushwood and roots of berry bushes if they fit through an opening of no more than 50 cm x 50 cm. The waste is accepted during the snow-free season, as the area is not maintained during winter.
Glass packaging includes glass bottles and jars. Glass packaging should primarily be taken to the eco-points, but you can also take it to the recycling station, up to 30 litres at a time.
Car batteries, low-energy light bulbs, waste oil, fluorescent tubes, paint, glue and varnish residues, detergents labelled as hazardous waste, oil filters and other solid waste containing oil. You can bring a maximum of one oil drum, i.e. 200 litres, of waste oil or oil and water mixture to the recycling station at a time. Other hazardous waste up to 100 kg at a time.
Impregnated wood can be delivered to the recycling stations in pieces less than one metre in length and a maximum of 1 m³ at a time. Impregnated telephone poles and railway sleepers can only be delivered to the waste centre in Teuva.
Landfill waste primarily includes mineral wool and windscreens. You can deliver a maximum of 1 cubic metre of landfill waste to the recycling station each time. Larger quantities are delivered directly to the waste centre in Teuva.
Metal includes all types of metal and metal objects such as roofing sheets, metal buckets and metal drums. You can bring a maximum of 3 m³ of metal to the recycling station each time.
All paper that arrives in the mailbox: newspapers, magazines, advertisements, telephone directories and envelopes. You can also take paper for recycling to the eco-points.
Confidential documents, up to a maximum of the amount of paper that can fit into ten binders, can be brought to the recycling station. The customer inserts the documents into a locked container. When the container is full, it is delivered as is to a destruction facility. The container is not opened or emptied until it reaches the facility. This way, the information is protected.
No more than three plasterboard sheets at a time. Larger quantities of plasterboard are delivered to the waste centre in Teuva.
Plastic packaging such as shampoo and soap bottles, yogurt containers and butter tubs, plastic bottles, plastic bags and plastic cans. Plastic packaging can also be delivered to some Rinki eco-points.
You can deliver a maximum of 50 litres of roofing felt to the recycling station. Larger quantities are delivered to the waste centre in Teuva.
Clothing and home textiles that are clean, dry, worn and torn are suitable for the collection of discarded textiles. The following do not belong in the collection of discarded textiles: bags, shoes, carpets, belts, underwear, padded textiles such as duvets and headbands, soft toys, wet, mouldy and strong-smelling textiles or textiles containing pests.
Wood waste includes boards, planks, plywood and other types of wooden sheets and wooden furniture (but not impregnated wood). Nails and hinges do not need to be removed. Maximum 3 cubic metres at a time. Larger quantities are delivered to the waste centre in Teuva.
